Remember when I was riding my bike across the state last week so I didn’t really post a whole lot? Yes. Well. Here’s a story for you. Background: Every day there were about fifty miles to ride on the tour. Those fifty miles would project you from point A to point B in pretty muchContinueContinue reading “PALM story!”

All she do is win
One day last week I sat with my younger sister in an Applebee’s, which, as I pointed out, basically serves airplane food. Applebee’s may serve airplane food, but some of its menu caters to the gluten-free crowd, and I belong to the crowd, and I needed the food, for the next day I planned onContinueContinue reading “All she do is win”
These beautiful moments No. 1
Yesterday I was watering my beautiful, green, stretching plants with the hose. I let my bare toes curl and uncurl in the grass; my feet stupid-soft from a winter in shoes. The sun was beginning to send slanting shadows and the guinea pigs were behind me in the lawn and the birds were yelling atContinueContinue reading “These beautiful moments No. 1”
What SHE Wore Wednesday
I guess we’re just on a Christine kick around here… http://youtu.be/8y3MHPe6bOI Here’s a video of what she wore when she rolled in from work. But! Then we changed and went downtown to eat burgers. She just started a club, you see, of burger-eating. But you can only go if you’re SERIOUS about eating burgers. But,ContinueContinue reading “What SHE Wore Wednesday”
Things Christine said today
Ya’ll remember my sister, Christine. She’s pretty dang hilarious in her ultra-blunt way. While riding our bikes, and I was going a tad bit faster then she wanted: Christine: “Remind me again–is this some kind of a race? I thought not. Soooo, we can go slower, then.” Observing the glorious beauty that is a summerContinueContinue reading “Things Christine said today”
A call from Fr. Pio Maria–expressed in gifs
SO. Remember that yesterday I was going to go to bed at a reasonable hour? I DIDN’T. I’m an adult. I can make decisions like this. BESIDES, I got a phone call. (The gifs might load slow…if you have a slow internets connection). Phone call from: Father Pio Maria. Cue all that is good inContinueContinue reading “A call from Fr. Pio Maria–expressed in gifs”
Yesterday is gone. Another day is here. Do something new…
In honor of her birthday, here are things she has taught me. Twenty-five of the things, in fact, in honor of the “25” candle we put on her cake, for no other reason than that was the candle we had. Ahem. I present: Don’t wear print-on-print. Taught when I wanted to wear my bicycle-print skirtContinueContinue reading “Yesterday is gone. Another day is here. Do something new…”
A Day of Play…in May.
Self-promote? Who? Me? On my own blog? Never. Cough. But! In YOUR interest, here’s something really, really cool which you should think about: Play in a Day. What, what, what is this insanity, you ask? Basically, I’ve invited some of the most disgustingly-talented people I know to gather. I’m just going to throw them togetherContinueContinue reading “A Day of Play…in May.”
The newest burrito
So, one time, on the Camino de Santiago ’13, it was the evening and I was making everyone say their “highs and lows” for the day. On this one day, Carlie and Jesus (the dewd, not the Son-of-God, although the Son-of-God was undoubtedly present) passed a place with a litter of PUPPIES!! Puppies puppies puppies!ContinueContinue reading “The newest burrito”
The twins are older!!
These two, the twins. Today, St. Patrick’s Day, they celebrated 25 years on this planet earth. We celebrated with a Star Wars party on Saturday (pictured) and Thai food today. They’re really neat-o people, really intense womb-mates. Sto lat, goobers!
