Today I’m wearing a vintage dress I bought at a church rummage sale. The fabric is light and summer; it’s covered in outdated-yellow polka dots that are speckled with an occasional teal. I think this dress is fantastic, even though it isn’t a perfect fit. The light-weight material is PERFECT for the summer. The flow of the skirt is so feminine. And, honestly, I really, really love the mustard belt that came with it; I use it as an accent piece in other ensembles.
Can I just say that I love summer? I love it. I love the ease of dressing (no coats!) I love listening to the bugs sing (I really do, guys). I love the summer wind. I love the leaves and the plants and the flowers. I love that I just was outside gazing at stars and everything seemed perfect.
Sigh.
Ah, summertime.
