Saturday morning found me outside scraping snow and ice off of our driveway for the THREE MILLIONTH time and, what can I say, I have mixed feelings about our recent “most snow evah!!11!” award.
Because, on one hand, I’d rather we just left that record back in ’78 but, on the other hand, I’M GLAD SOMEONE APPRECIATES ALL THIS NONSENSE.
I did realize something, though. For the first time this season, the weather was warmer. Warm enough for…packing the snow. It was packing snow.
And my siblings realized this, too. So they gathered the troops and tromped to our nearby athletic fields.
Snow person time, she comes!
And I would apologize that the photos lose quality as they progress since the sun set and the flash can only do so much. But, what would I be apologizing for? For having fun? In the words of a wise young man, “I will not.”
We had fun, the sun set. It is what it is, yo.
Setting: a field.

Cast: Josh and Christine and Paul and our friend, Adam.
When I arrived Josh, Christine and Paul had already constructed the bottom two layers of Snowman 2014.

Commence conversation on what kind of face it needed. Commence my responsibility of finding face-material. Commence my walking into a drift of snow that snuck over the tops of my boots.

I found some sticks and seed pods and stuff…with a bit of healthy debate, we placed the facial features.

And then we had a discussion on what we should build next and, while T-Rex and a dog were top contenders, we settled for snow-woman partner for our snowman.
So…we did.

And all was fine and dandy…and Josh came down with a cold the next day.

The end. 🙂
Nell and crew,
That is the most womanly snow-woman that I have ever seen… Well done 🙂
Riiiight??
