This is my Camino. Welcome.

Rummage sale JACKPOTS

Oh hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii. 😀

Last week I was all, “I’m going to a rummage sale” and I did and I did SO WELL but I never showed you what I bought and I know that everyone is wondering.

Obviously.

So, I’ll show you.

clothes

Bam! Bam! Bam bam bam!

This is most of the stuff right hur. Starting on the left we have a little formal number I’ll talk about later. Then a jumper which I doubted but, before a week had passed I had already worn it twice. You’ll do, leetle pink hipster jumper made from a wool-blend.

I seriously used to have that same blue shirt, but I wore it out from love. And sweat. Let’s be real, right?

That maroon-and-orange striped shirt seemed cool enough, and then I saw the tag…”rubbish.” I had a “rubbish” sweater once that I LOVED and lost somewhere…and I’ve never forgotten it (’tis better to have loved and lost? anyone?) so I picked this up as well.

The vest I saw and fell solidly into “like.” I had a vest at home at the time, grey with cables. I never really liked it, never really looked good in it…but I loved the fact that it was grey and versatile. Layers, baby. So when I saw this one I decided it would be my new grey vest. Sure enough, that other one is being donated as we speak. Well, type. And read.

Dear pink, leather flats with what I imagine to be a tropical rain-flower and my yarn.

I also bought a pair of shoes and some yarn. The shoes have proved handy, even in their hot pinkness. The yarn is gorgeous. The price tag on one says it was an $8 skien…but that didn’t stop me from nabbing it for twenty-five cents! Looks like someone might be getting a lovely scarf this year…maybe even with a new and improved pattern since my mom is handy and knows all the patterns. To teach to me, of course!

Beltzzzz.
Beltzzzz.

And the belts. One I found, navy with a cool buckle that’s really a ring. The other has mice detailing. It buckles when they hold paw-hands! It looks like they’re cuddling!

Me formal.
Me formal.

This dress, again. So you could see that the tags are STILL ON IT. For TWO HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE DOLLAHS. Not 100% my style, but 100% the color of my eyes and 100% only SIXTEEN DOLLARS and the lady asked, “Do you have any formal events” and I replied, “I pretty much go to weddings all the time.”

What I’m saying is, if you want to get married, I have a new dress.

How much do you think I spent total on alla those goods? Well, it was 30% mark-up day at the sale (not kidding).

If you guess $7.22 you are too low. If you guessed $105 you are too high.

Somewhere between $40 and $50. I don’t remember exactamente.

Here I am in the vest! Plus scarf that my mom bought/ gave to me. North Face skirt from a different sale. I'm debating whether or not to get those boots re-soled. Just so you know where I stand.

So, that picture above reminded me of this throw-back picture:

St. Mary and St. Joseph kicked out of the inn! Looking for a good place to have beebee Jesus!
St. Mary and St. Joseph kicked out of the inn! Looking for a good place to have beebee Jesus! This is Josh and Julia when they were babies…but they still kind of are, so here they’re prenatal.

And that reminded me of the saints and how I almost scored a second-class relic!

Letter from Fr. Prus!

Not really, though. Since he’s not canonized…yet.

Other letters (thanks!)

Lauren. Practically perfect. I mean, look at that HANDWRITING.

And this one, from baby Julia! (Full-circle!)

"It is love alone that counts."
“It is love alone that counts.”

Isn’t that lovely???

XOXOXOXOXOX, happy Wednesday.

You are the besssst and I love you all!

Final photo just because. :)
