Work, lunch-with-my-girn, blog post, make GF dinner, eat GF dinner, blog post numero dos, go retrieve my glue gun, shop like mad, package things for gifts, and go to adoration.
And I’m only, like halfway done with that list. I’VE STILL GOT TIME.
Anyway, I knew I would need an outfit that could take all of this and emerge looking good. So, I constructed this one.
I started with pants. After wearing them today I realized I never wore pants for a “What I Wore Wednesday” before. People out there might be saying to themselves, “I wonder if that girn wears pants.”
Yes, yes I do.
These here pants are wool pants, warm for the winter. They’re only lined to the knee which is, in my opinion, a savings-oriented approach from the end of the manufacturer. Small matter. I bought them second-hand anyway. They’re grey with a grey pinstripe. Does that mean slimming? We can hope.
I’m also wearing a black turtleneck. Turtle necks are warm and black goes with anything. Win and win.
The scarf is from POLAND, green for the holiday. Little Julia came in and said, “Nice scarf. It looks very Polish.”
To which I replied: “IT’S FROM POLAND, MAN.”
And then, the jacket. It’s red. I feel like red=Christmas festivity. And we all know I’m up for that party. Plus: layering (my office is cold). Plus: a level of business profesh (I went to work). Plus: kind of fashionable but also washable (bro, I had to make dinner, remember?)
So: here I am. Trying to pull of fashion and warmth and many Christmas-y tasks and assignments. And, remember, I still have a way to go as far as today’s checklist goes.
Excuse me, I must go be festive and productive.
XO
