Dude. I have a wedding this weekend.
But, it’s not my wedding.
Although, the director of the department did call out to my open-office environment last Friday, “Hey, Nell, when’s your wedding again?”
All of the heads turned.
Me: “Ummm, it’s not my wedding. I’m just going to it. To dance and stuff.”
So, yeah, that was a thing and it happened.
After I couldn’t find a dress I liked for a price I liked, mi madre suggested I make my own.
Not a bad idea. Wanna see some pics o’ the process? Thine wish. It is my command.

So, I’m looking for a full, swing-y skirt because: dancing. Of course. My forever-priority.
Also, the material is really light and flowy, so I decided I wanted a nice cowl neckline and promptly Pinterest-ed up some mad hot research.

But, basically: great skirt pattern, cowl neckline and badda bing, badda boom, that’s the plan, Stan.

Yeah. The cutting out was a feat in itself. The bodice is close to being done. Maybe. I need to find an invisible zipper. And sew a skirt and a waist band and a hem and some sleeves.
And find my red fascinator.
I fly out to the wedding on Thursday.
I have two nights left.
Pray for me. (LAUREN, DO YOU BELIEVE IN ME??)
;),

Always! You got this gurlfriend!
