If you look through the eyes of a tourist, everything is new
I walked about on my lunch break, looking for beautiful things in my city. And I was not disappointed.
City ’til I die.
This is one of my favorite city members. She tells me her name, but it usually varies, so I don’t know what it really is. Today I was like, “Tell me about the things you love” so she said one hundred dollar bills and hair extensions. Her favorite hair type is blonde. I told her I liked blonde hair, too.
Christmas lights FASCINATE ME. All of the adults were like, “Well, it’s getting darker, we should go out into the cold and wrap trees and bushes and stuff with tiny, colorful lights. THIS IS INCREDIBLE TO ME. Because mostly adults don’t do things like this. Many times adults/ cities/ businesses are too worried about their own problems and the bottom lines to think about contributing more sacrificial beauty to the world. So, why do they do it now? I think probably because of the miracle of Baby Jesus. That’s it.
DIS BEEBEE. Sadie. The shop owner said he saved her from the side of a road three years ago. She was a tank of love; she came out for pats and love and let me take her photo.
TREE LIGHTING TONIGHT. Gasp!! Not even Thanksgiving. Oh well. I’ll take it! I’ll take the lights and the music and the festivity and the peace on earth/ goodwill to men, even if it’s not liturgically appropriate juuuuuust yet. (Sorry, Andrew!!)
