So.
Today I was crocheting. I crocheted a scarf. And it’s beautiful (mostly). I was looking at what started as a ball of yarn and ended up as a fluffy scarf with the use of only a plastic hook, my brain, my hands, and a few dedicated twists and I was like, “Well, dang, I could just post this on my blog.”
Then I started thinking about how, since I’m a lady, I have different freedoms for posting on my blog than, say, a man-blogger. Like, could a man-blogger be taken seriously by other men if he was suddenly like, “Btw, I also know how to crochet”? Alternatively, if I took up a traditionally-male hobby like, say, lying bricks-with-mortar or refinished bathrooms (on both counts: how cool would that be??), I don’t feel like women would discount that. Instead they’d be like, “Dang, go get ’em, sister.”
At least, that’s what I thought about when I was crocheting that scarf.
SO. With this freedom, I’m just going to post about MY GUINEA PIGS, mmmKAY?
I have two of thems.
One of them (the black one) is “Kiwi,” and the other (with the face the color of a sweet potato) is “Franklin.”
Despite finding and catching and bringing home COUNTLESS DOGS during my life, we’ve only ever been able to compromise on “guinea pigs.” And, they’re pretty cute, so, it’s cool. In fact, here’s a list of cute things about them!
