Ahem.
ANYWAY. Back to the regularly scheduled show.
Christmas Eve I was off of work. I met this Julia and we traveled into the city for her to take some artsy pics before rushing back to travel to mass. Awwwww yeah. I love the buildings and the bridge and the carousel and the Julia in this photo.Christmas Eve with these folks–my dad’s side.Gift exchange! Great fun. Scored a space heater. Yessssss. Just what my drafty office needed.Fa la la la la la!!Christmas morning and all through the house, not a creature was stirring. Except for me and the guinea pig. I had some last minute crafts, ya see.I said some prayers from this perch. I love the tree and the stockings and the lights and the snow slowly falling. 🙂Present time! We had to squeeze it in before Josh left to work at the hospital. I made him that scarf. 🙂Christmas breakfast? Spanish tortilla. Camino love. Robots-shirt and bear-vest are homemade with love, too.
Later, skater, we trekked to my mom’s side. Separated some rubber bands with the girl who would go on to win… …my exchange gift: Barbie clothes a la Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Skits were watched.Skits were acted. And more skit! Then: presents! Then I came home. And Julia stopped by with this piece of wonder. Isn’t it breathtaking? It’s a gift for some newly-ish-weds. Then we had tea and chats about life and love. It’s what we do.Today I took it easy. Tidied the house, made some crafts, wrote this blog…and stopped by the church to sit in silence for a bit.
Christmas. Isn’t this the best thing?
I hope that the season fills you and yours with peace and hope and the truth of the Christ-child!
