SEASHELL NELL

This is my Camino. Welcome.

What I Wore Wednesday

I bought all of these sweaters over the weekend. Oh, and two skirts. And four shirts.
I bought all of these sweaters over the weekend. Oh, and two skirts. And four shirts. Poppin’ tags, ya’ll. Less than forty bucks total.

So last Saturday I went to the the thrift store and TORE IT UP, man.

Here’s what went down:

I stopped at one store in the morning hours, looking for some supplies for the crafting challenge. I was also looking for a very specific workout video that my sister and I used to use at the turn of the century.

It was a good video, OK? Plus, these abs need to be kicked into gear.

I didn’t find the supplies or the video, so I decided to peruse the racks of clothing…just because. And I left with some long-sleeved tees, a few sweaters, and a totally awesome dancing skirt that flows around my knees when I spin.

I know this because I TESTED it, ya’ll. Spinning like a champ in front of the small mirror and senior citizens and what not.

And then I had a lunch meeting across town. I talked serious business and I headed home.

But (suspenseful music) I passed a secondhand store on the way back. And I thought to myself, “Self, that store might have the supplies.”

So, I stopped in. The sign inside the first set of double-doors announced that green tags were on sale–five for five dollars.

Blue sweater! And grey skirt and brown tights-and-boots! The scarf is colorful but subtle.

I took this into consideration. Usually that means there’s no way you’ll find those tags as they’ll be picked over. But, I walked over the racks and picked out something I thought would be nice…and it had a green tag! And then I found another! And another!

And then I spent ten dollars and had a ton of new clothes.

From the photo, it appears that I had “blue” on the mind. This is so true. Sometimes I look at my clothes and try to imagine new combinations. I was out a blue sweater this year since my last one wore out (sad day)…but I made up for it last weekend. The same holds true for my old grey sweater…I had to replace it.

The shawl collars where jumping out at me, too. I love the detailing from the little fold. 🙂

So, I also bought a maroon skirt (North Face!) which I wore two days in a row…and now I’m wearing this blue sweater the second day in a row. It is THE SOFTEST material I’ve ever owned; and it matches my eyes.

Lastly, for the record, I also found the workout VHS I was looking for.

What are the odds?!?!?

I’m going to be so fit, guys.
