Ready for an Adventure?
So are we! It’s the Jubilee Year of Hope, and we are looking to bring the joyous experience of pilgrimage to more people, in a more accessible format! We hope you’re able to join–read on.
Where?
Planners Beth and Danielle have nearly 2,000 miles of Camino experience between them, and they prayed and planned this experience–based in the southwest corner of Michigan, a gravel trail called the “Kal-Haven” that was once a train track, connecting the “fruit belt” of Lake Michigan to the further cities. We’ll cover field, farmland, and forest, all on a gentle trail for about 55 miles over the course of several days. You can do it!
When?
We’ll be hiking October 12-18, 2025.
The trek begins on a Sunday afternoon, spending the evening in Kalamazoo.
We’ll hike every day, ending in South Haven the following Saturday, and driven back to our cars.
We’ll stay in simple but clean accommodations–cabins and the like. Flush toilets and showers are a yes–but those showers will probably be dorm-style and the beds might be bunks.
Why?
There are so many reasons why people walk pilgrimages. Some want to disconnect from distractions, others to connect with God and with fellow pilgrims. Some want space for prayer, some want space for conversation.
Your “why” belongs to you, but, whatever it is, it’s welcome!
How?
Every day is a beautiful day to do some hiking. We’ll cover about 12 miles a day (some more, some less).
There will be a van driving heavier luggage pieces, we’ll meet up each evening for dinner together.
It’s not a race and I will NEVER make you walk a pace that’s not comfy for you.
Who?
The sign-ups start NOW and spaces are limited. We’re looking at 20 people.
Attendees need to be: positive, friendly, and helpful. Working as a group is hard work, don’t make it harder with a bad attitude! 😉
All ages and stages welcome! Planners are Catholic, and our prayer will be thus influenced, but other faiths are welcome, too.
Cost?
We’re looking at $480 per person.
This includes: lodging for 6 nights, dinners each night, and transport back to the cars. Maybe other surprises, too. 😉
Of course, also: great memories, priceless experiences, and beautiful views of Michigan in the fall.

I do need both to secure your spot. Also, payments are non-refundable.
