From the fear that you have forgotten me, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that you cover your ears to my prayers, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that everyone gets a happy ending except me, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that my dreams are just here to taunt me, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that you’ll give me a snake when I ask for a fish, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that this season of life is perpetual and never-ending, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that your goodness is a lie, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that the future only holds sorrow, deliver me, my Jesus.
From the fear that I’m running out of time, deliver me, my Jesus.
When I doubt your presence, Jesus, be my hope.
When I doubt your action, Jesus, be my hope.
When I doubt your intervention, Jesus, be my hope.
When I doubt your saving power, Jesus, be my hope.
Through the prayers of those praying for me right now, Jesus, be my hope.
Through your promises to me, Jesus, be my hope.
Through scripture and sacrament, Jesus, be my hope.
That you have already prepared a way, Jesus, be my hope.
That your love is steadfast and true, Jesus, be my hope.
That your timing is perfect, Jesus, be my hope.
That you have given me my longings for a sacred purpose, Jesus, be my hope.
That you can redeem and restore, Jesus, be my hope.
That you are using even this season for your will and your glory, Jesus, be my hope.
That you will supply my every need, Jesus, be my hope.
That you will speak new life into me, Jesus, be my hope.
That I will never be forsaken, Jesus, be my hope.
As I look to the future, Jesus, be my hope.
As I seek to do your will, Jesus, be my hope.
In every moment, Jesus, be my hope.
Amen.
