Joseph Thamby – Halo Boys Frameable
$5.00
Joseph Thamby (1890-1945) grew up in India. His mother died when he was seven years old, and his father remarried. Joseph’s new stepmother mistreated Joseph and his brother, and she opposed them receiving their First Communion and Confirmation. When Joseph turned twelve, a Bishop agreed to secretly administer the Sacraments to the boys. Their stepmother was angered over this, and her further mistreatment caused the boys to leave home. Joseph learned of the life of St. Francis of Assisi, and aspired to follow in his footsteps. For the rest of his life, he embraced poverty, chastity, and obedience to God. Here he is pictured in traditional Franciscan clothing, with a frog native to India, Joseph’s home country.
-The text reads: “Joseph Thamby pray that I may be single-hearted”
-The hefty coverstock paper is 5″x7″, artwork is a smaller piece
– Print comes with a description of her life history on the back
– The print is sold unframed, but, I made the paper a size that is super easy to find in most stores. I figured I’d save you the $ on shipping.
– Print will come in a plastic sleeve, with some protective cardboard, in a bubble mailer.
The “Halo Girls” set is my artistic celebration of the wonder and diversity of God’s call…to every one of us. <3
